{March} Month in Review.

They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. They must have forgotten this only applies to certain parts of the world. In the Northeast US, March came in like a lion on steroids, and is leaving like a lion post-rehab. Nonetheless, still a lion.

A wintry mix of wetness still falls many mornings before the sun rises. Frost clings to car windshields and the tips of grass blades that somehow made it through the thick of winter. Nights are filled with piles of blankets and socks you can’t keep dry.

My heart’s not broken to say goodbye to March; here’s hoping that April will bring showers, flowers, and a bit of warmth.

Hello April / from TheSirensTale.com

March in review…
//
Took the Polar Plunge to benefit a local cancer center

// Discussed the balance between forming/using your voice and maintaining respect for others

// Realized muddy walks can lead to the best places in this month’s Gratitude Lately

// Revisited a botanical center and reflected on my previous visit and growth in photography

// Laughed about my bad luck streak and possible curse á la Liz Lemon

// Asked all of you wonderful blog readers to take a survey, and chatted about the survey responses so far

// Made delicious Rosemary & Basil Vegan Focaccia Bread

// Offered positive advice on living with a significant other and saying goodbye to living alone

What will you miss about March?
What are you looking forward to this April?

  1. Caitlin I had to laugh at your post I run a weekly tv show at an elementary school and I had in the script the students said “March came in like a lion and left like a lion” and in Coastal NC we haven’t experienced nearly as much as you guys have! 🙂 Looking forward to Spring friend!

  2. I love the re-cap and the photograph is gorgous.

    • With Mother Nature, I always try to find hope. Even in the worst of winter, sometimes we get a nice sunny day. So while the outside temperatures surely don’t say ‘spring’, I’m trying to soak up every ray of sun that’s available! I have a good feeling April will treat us all well with small joys ❤

  5. I love your creative descriptions! Great post! 😀

  6. hahaha–a “lion post-rehab”. That’s about it!! I’m not sure I’ll miss march much at all.
