They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. They must have forgotten this only applies to certain parts of the world. In the Northeast US, March came in like a lion on steroids, and is leaving like a lion post-rehab. Nonetheless, still a lion.
A wintry mix of wetness still falls many mornings before the sun rises. Frost clings to car windshields and the tips of grass blades that somehow made it through the thick of winter. Nights are filled with piles of blankets and socks you can’t keep dry.
My heart’s not broken to say goodbye to March; here’s hoping that April will bring showers, flowers, and a bit of warmth.
